Lung transplant

Hello,
I posted this question a while ago and have not received a response.

Why would esophageal problems (due to a connective tissue disease) prevent someone from receiving a lung transplant?

Thank you.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
National Jewish Medical and Research Center treats lung problems medically.  There are no surgical facilities here.  So lung transplants are not done at National Jewish.  Please check with the program coordinator at a major lung transplant center.  This would be the best resource for the answer to your question about your esophageal problems and your connective tissue disease keeping you from receiving a lung transplant.
