I have lung nodules to and had pneumonia over a year ago and now i have respiratory problems that has put me on oxygen, but my pulmonologist has just tested me for rheumatoid arthritis because it affects the lungs to and my vocal chords are not working right either and could be the arthritis so you might want to get it checked.

Hi Gwen,

I too have multiple lung nodules along with an immune deficiency, CVID.  My doctor that discovered the lung nodules told me not to worry.  I've since seen two doctors who were very concerned.  I am going to see a pulmonologist for the biopsy as well, but like you, NOT looking forward to it.  I am interested to see how things turned out for you, I hope everything is okay!

I had bronchial infection for over a year...from one Nov 2006 to the following  Oct 2007!  Everything the doctors did, was of little use! The antibiotic would help then after approx 6 or7 days after taking the antibiotic the horrible  thrusting cough would appear again. I ached so from this kind of cough. It interferred with my work, I was hoarse and with each coughing spell I was always heading to the restroom!
Finally after moving to a different city in 2007 due to all sorts of medical problems, fatigue, muscles, bones aching too. Falling asleep driving and at my desk at work, edema and weight gain from predisone, I went to a lung specialist. He saved me! From the coughing. I had x-rays taken due to spitting or coughing up blood and wheezing and having a hard time breathing. I had 6 nodules in my lungs, all under 1 inch. I was diagnosed with GERD, and after the antibiotic this time, I continued with Nexium and morning and nite inhaled Advair. It was like magic with the coughing. I am so happy, This was my birthday present and the best one!
Now after having had xrays/ct about every 4 mo. I have two of the small nodules grown to 1inch or more so very quickly! I am scheduled for a needle biopsy in a couple of weeks. The biopsy is hard for me to think of, for I will be awake and on my stomach at the time. Something given to make me relax..but ahhhh I don't think so.
It is possible that they may be cancer or rheumatoidd nodules/tumors. We will see. I really think and pray that they are void of cancer. My SED rate has been running 83- 91 which is very high. Something is going on somewhere in my body, I just pray it isn't cancer!.
So, what I am saying is keep and eye on these small one, they can grow to big ones. Nodules, actually should stay stable for two years/not grow for them not to be concerned with. So keep up and take care of yourself. You are the only one that can.
