Pain in chest, sore throat, weird sensation.

It's been four days that I've had sharp pain across my chest, especially on the right side. When I breathe in, I feel that my right nostil has a strange sensation, it feels almost completely clear but watery, I have to swallow hard which hurts when I breathe. My throat is sore, and I have been treated for mono and strep throat prior. This however feels different, it is so sharp and constant, and I feel a shortness in breath throughout the day and night.

As a former nurse,It sounds to me like you still have lingering problems from your strep, which left un treated can go to the lungs and cause severe pain and shortness of breath.Sounds to me that you need doctor attention right away.Dont wait because you never know whats lurks behind chest pain. Good luck.

Thank you, I have made an appointment as there has been no change in my symptoms. No temperature just pain and soreness. Thank you for your input, it is much appreciated.

It sounds like this might be the start of a respiratory infection , or virus.
Do you have a temperature?
I would say with your past history of strep throat infections, you should see your GP to get this checked,
You might need some antibiotics to move this if it is strep cause.
Good luck
