Problem with breathing

Hello, wonder if anyone could help. For the last 6months I have become out of breathe only when eating, if feels as if I'm full and can't fit anything in, even if I haven't had a meal. The last week I have struggled to catch my breathe with going up stairs or walking up a gentle hill. Over 24hrs yesterday I have severe yesterday pains when breathing in, I went to the doctors and they did my observations, everything normal but bp was 80/42?
The doctor requested a d dimer which came back today as 229?
Any help on what my problem could be it's so uncomfortable at times.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The D dimer is used to detect deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism. The normal level for D dimer is around 500 ng/ml of blood. Inadequate oxygenation can produce symptoms of breathlessness, as the body tries in an effort to compensate for the decreased oxygen supply. The breathlessness could be due to cardiac or lung disorders. Breathlessness on exertion could be due to the decreased lung function. Again in cardiac disorders the heart is unable to pump the blood adequately, more so when subjected to stress like exercise. Certain systemic disorders like anemia, diabetes, vitamin deficiencies and thyroid disorders can cause these symptoms.

Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

There is lack of oxygen in your lungs. Do this exercise to exhale the old air in your lungs and so increase the oxygen level.

Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.

Kapalbhati pranayam - Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 30 to 300 times.
Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently. If you do this for more than one minute, then do it before eating or on empty stomach.

If there is gas:
Pavanmuktasan
Help to release gas and wind, and is good for gastric problems.
Lie down on the floor. Bring left knee up, hold the knee with both hands and pull towards the chest, then hold for 2 seconds and release. Then bring right  knee up, hold with both hands and pull towards the chest, then hold for 2 seconds and release. Then bring both  knees up, hold with both hands and pull towards the chest, then hold for 2 seconds and release.
Repeat all this two more times.
Then bring both  knees up, (lock the hands around knees)hold with both hands and pull towards the chest, then roll forward and backwards about 10 times.

What first occurs to me is gas. This can press your diaphragm upward against your lungs causing you to feel short of breath. If this is the problem over-the-counter Gas-X (simethicone) gives quick relief.

Or your digestion might be sluggish due to not having enough stomach acid. My daughter has this problem and it was solved by taking a spoon of apple cider vinegar immediately before a meal.
