Question about Transimission of Pneumonia in Young Adults

Hi,

I'm 21 years old, male at around 65 kgs. My girlfriend is of the age (more on this later)

I just have a few questions regarding pneumonia, and how easily (or difficult) it is transmitted in healthy young adults.

Context:

My girlfriend's aunt recently got hospitalized due to pneumonia, and my girlfriend has been taking care of her for about 3 days now. Now this may sound stupid and selfish, but my concern is her and me catching pneumonia too. I'll be seeing my girlfriend tomorrow and probably spend the night with her, but I'm worried that I might catch pneumonia too through her.

Questions:

Is it possible that she is already infected as early as now? If so, is she infectious, even if she isn't coughing or sneezing yet? I read in CDC that most cases are transmitted through coughing and sneezing in close contact, so if she's infected already but still not coughing or sneezing, would she be contagious already?

Thank you so much in advance.
