SOB with activity

I have been getting more SOB over the last several months. Not sleeping at night & have cough which doesn't produce anything. Had ECHO last week with the resutls as follow: 1. normal lt. Ventricular 2. Calaific aortic stenosis with 4.3 meters per second  max. velocities through the valve & peak gradient of 75 mmHg 3. mild tricuspid regurgtation at 3.4 meters per second with rt. ventricular systolic of 54.5 mmHg 4. mild mitral regurgtation at 6 meters 5. est. lt. ventricular ejection fraction is 55-60%  6. septal hypertrophy 7. mild aortic insufficiency.
The SOB is my biggest concern as it is getting to be a problem with my daily living. I will have a a complete PFT & 6 minute walk next week & will see cardiology in two weeks.
thank you for any help that you might give. I would like to have some understanding  of what I might be facing.

Thanks for reply. Had the 6 minute walk & it went OK. Should I be concern about pressure in lungs? From what I can tell on internet having more than one valve involved is common.

The two main reasons for shortness of breath are from the heart and from the lungs.  The changes you have in your arteries and valves may or may not be sufficient to produce the breathing problems you are describing.  Some of it depends on how rapidly these changes have occurred. The lung function test and 6 minute walk will definitely tell you if the problem is related to your lungs.  Without having more information it is hard to give the answers you are seeking.  I am sure you will know much more after the lung tests and your next physician visit.
