Hi all,
I've been suffering from some sort of respiratory problem for about.. lets see, a year and a half now. It started seemingly out of nowhere, actually, a few weeks after a bad bout of bronchitis (my doctor said it's not related, but it bothers me). My symptoms are painful and debilitating. I can't take a deep breath, when I try to I have a spasm feeling in my chest and a strange pain kind of like the pain you get after a long run, as well as a dull, stiff pain in my left side. I don't have any throat/bronchial tightness that I can feel. Also, when I breathe in using my lungs, my back and chest feel tight, like there's some kind of rubber band around my torso. When I try to breathe in through my diaphragm, the air flows a little easier but I still cannot seem to get a deep breath and the chest pain is still there. The symptoms don't fluctuate or "come and go," it is like this 24/7. I have been diagnosed with asthma and given a Xopenex inhaler as well as an inhaled steroid, neither of which seem to have any effect on my breathing. I constantly feel as though I am out of breath. I also have a very low exertion tolerance.. I get worn out just after walking up stairs. Also, I have chronic dizziness and extreme concentration/cognition issues.
If anyone can offer any advice as to what might be wrong with me or what I should do, it is very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
