You should research a condition called Hyper IGE Syndrome aka Joe Buckley's Syndrome or Job's syndrome.....characteristics are very high IgE level, severe skin rashes with drainage (Eczema), severe asthma, lung infections, also Scoliosis, and dental prob (retention of primary teeth in kids).
I know this is far belated, but i have an IgE level of over 14000, suffer from eczema psoriasis iktheosis asthma a form of autoimmune disease and more, some of the many things I have done include: Immuno supressants; Cellcept, I believe the drug was called, many different allergy pills; Hydroxizine, cyproheptadine, et cetera, antibiotics for long periods of time; like pregnizone, different topical creams; like betamethasone and clotrimazole, and the list goes on and on. I have found that taking single treatments is ineffective due to my becoming 'immune' to said treatments after a period of about a month or two. Doing rotations of treatments was found to be effective in making the single pills/creams effective for longer periods of time before they became 'out dated'. Sadly the problem with some of these are the side effects, most prevalent in my case would be depression and mood swings. I know that most of what I said looked like random ramblings, but I hope that I helped some. It is somewhat nice to find that I am not the only one who has this type of problem.
Contact Allergy Associates of LaCrosse, they lowered my high IgE of 14000, with all the problems I'm reading here, to 8000 and most symptoms went away...
