Why have I been coughing during the afternoon?

About 2 years ago I was told by a doctor that I’ve developed allergies. All of the sudden at the age of 24. I did not take it very seriously at the time. But about a year ago it got really bad and I started taking over the counter allergy meds.
About 9 months ago I started coughing really badly, I do feel mucus in the back of my throat but I did feel it before the cough started too. I have taken an allergy test. I’m allergic to dust mites. I have a heap filter in my room and I clean the house constantly and vacuum.
About 5 months ago I went to my doctor about the issue they said it was bronchitis gave me a steroid inhaler which I used for the amount of time they prescribed. Got better for a month. Then it came back. Went to another doctor. He gave me a different steroid inhaler and 10 days of antibiotics. Took them and got better for a while. But it’s back now. I’ve noticed that I don’t really cough during the morning hours or late evening hours. My coughs come at around 5pm and suddenly are gone by 7:30-8pm. But during those 2-3 hours, it’s constant coughing and wheezing. To the point that I feel like I can’t breath at all.
I have never smoked. So I’m not sure how to get rid of this coughing. It’s bothering me so much.
