Accidental hydrocarbon inhalation

Three weeks ago I accidently inhaled Selleys RP7, a lubricating spray.I developed severe chest pain (I have had pneumonia twice)and moderate dyspnea. I had a lung function test which is normal.I still have chest pain, it seems to diminish and then flare up again, and I was wondering if you could give me any advice on the likely duration of this inflamation.
Thank you

We would need to know the ingredients of Selleys RP7, to answer your question.  Regardless, you need to see a doctor to evaluate your chest pain, which may or may not be related to the inhalation.

the contents of the can were a light penetrating oil and the propellent was butane. I was spraying a rusty fly screen and would have sprayed for about 1-2 minutes. I was outside and thought I would not be inhaling it, but I was obviously wrong as the symptoms developed a day later. I have been seen by a doctor, but he can't tell me how long it will take to resolve, I wondered if you had experience with this problem?
