Collapsed trachea is otherwise referred to as Tracheomalacia. Tracheomalacia most commonly affects the distal third of the trachea and can be associated with various congenital anomalies, including cardiovascular defects and developmental delays. It can treated conservatively with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) or may need surgical reconstruction.
