cough,clearing throat,chest pain, pneumonia?

Recently I was visiting a friend in the hospital and since then I have had a cough (not producing anything), feeling of phlegm or mucous or something in my thorat causisng me to keep clearing it.  I have had headaches that radiate down into my arm and neck and chest.  Now my chest is starting to hurt.  What are the symptoms of pneumonia?  Would a normal PFT rule out pneumonia?  Would I have a fever?  I hear noises and feel something in my chest when I breath.

You should arrange to see your doctor and get a chest x-ray.  This will rule out pneumonia.  Sounds like you have a viral respiratory infection, especially if you have little or no fever.
