Hi,

I want to welcome you to the Pain Management Forum and I want you to know that we are glad that you have found us. There are NO Doctors here ONLY CP (Chronic Pain) Patients that help each other with our expertise and experience that we have gotten thru our own pain conditions.

I've sorry about your Friend. We really need to have a lot more information before we could even give you any possibilities. For instance, how old is your friend, have they been ill, howlong has this been going on, has your friend had any injuries, is your friend asthmatic, is your friend prone to having chronic Bronchitis and most important, is your friend a smoker and if so for how long and how many packs a day? If you can give us some more information then we might be able to give you some kind of idea. However, your VERY best bet is to take your Friend to the Doctor and have a thorough check-up!

I wish you the very best and I hope that you will keep us updated.....Sherry

Some times it could be a sign of pleurisy.  It's the lining in your chest and it hurts very bad, but I would definitely recommend taking your friend to the ER, chest pain is never anything to joke around with.  When you take her in, tell her she has chest pain and shortness of breath and they will take her back in.  Please take her.  Let us know how she's doing.
