histoplasmosis testing

I have a 5 mm nodule. The Dr mentioned it could be histoplasmosis. I am scheduled for a CT scan next week. How will they decide if it's histoplasmosis? Is there a test to be sure. I am a 51 year old female, non-smoker, but my husband used to smoke and so did my parents. I also do my own home improvements such as helping tear off and re-roof my daughter's home. My x-ray from 18 months ago was clear. I just want to know for sure what it is, especially cancer.

Hi. It went well. It looks like it was probably the histoplasmosis. The Dr said it was bony. He has me scheduled for a second CT in 6 months just to make sure.
