hypothiriod

I have been having thyriod problems for years and just recently had my TSH levels checked and found out my level was at 26. that seems very high where it should be between 0.4 and 4.5 I believe . my doctor has raised my syntriod perscription from 125mcgs to 150 mcgs.Is there anything else he should be doing for me . I'm feeling like this is just not enough.he is going to recheck my TSH in 2 months.also its been at least 10 yrs since he has performed a scan on me .Could it be time for another one?
                            thanks Teresa

The treatment that you are getting from your doctor is appropriate.  At this time you need to wait for the recheck of your TSH level in 2 months.  If it remains high, then it would be time for another scan.

This board is about BREATHING.  It sounds like your problem relates to your thyroid and endocrine system, not your respiration or breathing.  Your family doctor or an endocrinologist should be able to help you.  It's very important to work closely with your doctors to be sure your thyroid gland is functioning properly and take prompt corrective action as needed.
