im sick..but with what?

So for about two days now i have been having an awfully painful (in my chest and throat) cough, i have been bringing up alot of (usually)-thick yellowy mucus just about everytime i cough and a stuffy noise. Also, every now and then i am getting upper back and side pain (but i asume that the pain in my back and sides are from constintly coughing). I am pregnant so i am just needing to know if it is somthing i should be woried about.

I let mine go way too long and it turned out to be pneumonia.  As my doctor sayed, "you're one sick puppy".  I'm in so much pain now and keep telling people to get IN to the doctor.  I was waiting to have my insurance start and so I had something of an excuse yet now I'm homebound and if I don't rest I'll end up in the hospital.  Don't let it get like this and especially not if you're pregnant.  Doctors can help you if you seek help but don't wait as long as I did.

Mine was yellow in the beginning, it turned green and then almost black.  Get in there.  ASAP

Yellow mucus=infected!  You probably need antibiotics.  I know some antibiotics have been of concern to pg. mothers they can yellow the babies teeth but I think that is for taking them long term. Maybe your gyno can give you something to dry up the mucus without antibiotics but for sure see a dr. yellow mucus isn't normal.
