lung nodules

I have been diagnosed with mycobacterium avium complex and mycobacterium fortuitum. My most recent lung ct scan showed nodular densities that are appearing more confluent than on previous ct scans. What exactly does confluent mean in reference to nodular densities? I posted this question last week but didn't get an answer so am reposting.

well, i can't believe i have found someone who shares same condition, mycobacterial avium complex, as i do. it is not a well known or common infection. when were you diagnosed and what treatment are you receiving. do you mind if i ask your age, and are you white female, because i was told this infection has a lot to do with who get its. i would love to share information with you because i have felt so alone with this condition.

Confluent means that the densities are actually merging, to form a larger density.  It is usually a sign of progression of disease.
