lung pain after vomiting

hi i have been a victim of chronic unexplained headaches, dizziness and shortness of breath.  for the past 4 days I have started vomiting every morning.  I am hoping it was just food poisoning but  because my chest xray was normal I relax a little.  But should I insist on a chest CT to make sure I dont have cancer?   even though the chest xray was normal...I dont have insurance so I have to carefully consider this $1500 proceedure, plus, I don't want the radiation exposure, I am only 31 yr old

I know you can't oficially diagnose me but please advise me your best opinion  as guidance  thanks

No, you should not request a Chest CT Scan.  Since you are 31, and have a clear chest X-ray, the chance of your having an undetected lung cancer is extremely small.  The vomiting, dizziness and headache suggest another cause, unrelated to your lungs. It is more likely related to sinus or inner ear disease or some type of problem related to your central nervous system.  The shortness of breath may be caused by the anxiety related to your other symptoms. If it persists you should have a careful examination of both heart and lungs.

The chances of having lung cancer at 31 is virtually non existent. Have you smoked over 20 a day for over 15 years, do you have a history of lung cancer in your family? If the answers to these questions is NO you are wasting your money.

The symptoms you describe could be asthma, sinus or gerd related. If you smoke stop. Dont eat afer 7pm and watch your diet.

If you have hyper ventilation you will benefit from excersize.

Thats it, excersize, eat well and give it a few months. You are young and the chance of having anything serious without any prior conditions is probably NIL.
