Throat & chest issues

hi,

i am REALLY hoping you can help me with this... for almost 3 YEARS i have had this "thing" going on ONLY with the right side of my throat...

* i keep trying to clear it but it feels tight & constricted on one side (right)

* it feels clogged/stuck (when there is barely any mucous) i have a dry cough that will not clear it but sounds hollow & deep coming from the bad side only.

* when i breathe it sounds all whiny/wheezy like i am breathing through a tiny straw or something

* when i swallow sometimes it feels like i choke on saliva/food...

* my chest hurts on the same side

i have had a ton of tests including: x-rays, pulmonary CT scan, spirometer, allergy tests, etc.. etc.. etc... basically they just look at me & say we can't find anything! all pulmonary, allergy & asthma tests are negative.

this feels terrible! i cant stand thinking this is with me for life. i am constantly clearing my throat (to no avail) and coughing (which does nothing). it varies in intensity but is there all the time. this TOTALLY SUCKS & it hurts! the left side of my throat feels TOTALLY FINE. its just the right side! thanks so very much.

if any on esufers from globus hysterium diagnisis i want to let you know that there is  real physical cuse of it.That is a neck muscles spasm causing all other possible problems (allergies infections etc). S what is solution? Massage your neck mostly in area that you feel is affected and try spirit soaked towel(brandy votka gin) wrapped arround your neck.MAKE SURE TO PUT OILFIRST ON YOR SKIN NOT TOBURN IT.Do it for a few days and nights and all your \globs hysteria symptoms will disappeared.I HAVE DONE IT AND IT WORKED FOR ME.Doctos will only give you a medicine which in majority of cases is useless.I think that problem is that once you get neck fmuscle spasm  fixed all other throat functions will go back where they supposed to be and other secondary symptoms will simply disappeared or coulbe fixed with either antibiotic or anty allergy medications if necessasary

While it is not easy to better define the cause of what you are describing, it may be worth a trial of inhaled nasal steroids, or even oral steroids if you are desperate, to see if there is inflammation of the upper airways that is causing these symptoms.  If the results of these therapeutic trials cause the symptoms to go away, then inflammation is a likely cause and this can be treated with specific safe medications. Because you are so uncomfortable, it is worth a test.
