Morning Lower back pain returned more intense

Could not find a proper "Topic Area" so I used this one.

I used to have lower back pain in the morning, so times it was hard to get out of bed or stand.  The pain would subside in about 10-15 minutes of moving around.  We then purchased a memory foam mattress, not a knock off brand the pricy one.  It was great, the pain was completely gone for the last 20 months that I have been sleeping on the new mattress.

However about 3 days ago the pain sharply returned worst than ever.  I sleep thru the night fine and the pain wakes me up after about 7 hours of sleep.

I am male, 35 years old, 6'1" 250 lbs which is overweight.

My primary concern is that the better mattress has masked a developing problem that has worsened over the last 20 months.

You will need to have a thorough physical exam to find out the nature of the problem that is causing your morning lower back pain to return.  This could be related to your mattress or it may have nothing to do with your mattress.

I am 33 years old and my husband is 63.  I weigh around 120 and hubby is probably about 150.  He is an Opthamologist and I'm a high school drop out.
He swears up and down that the back pain he and I experience is usually from sleeping (or laying down) too much.  I swear up and down that- for the most part- he's crazy lol.
But, all teasing of my hubby aside, what he says does seem to be the case SOMETIMES.
Even if you're only sleeping for 7 hours, are you lying in bed longer?
Also, could you be wearing your mattress down seeing how you're a big guy?

On the other hand- are you drinking enough water?  Is your urine darkly colored?  For me, those are the reasons for my backache most of the time:  dehydration and the very occasional bladder infection.  I would recommend increasing your water intake to see if that would help.

Help you feel completely better soon.
