persistent sore throat...

i have been having a sore throat for 3 weeks, without other common cold/flu symptoms(no cough, fever, runny nose, etc), except more muscus, which is white in color.
i also saw some grey/silver patch at the back of my throat..

i went to see a doctor and he says my throat's red, but not sure why it's not resolved after such long time, so he just prescribed some antibiotics for now..

it's now on the 4th days of my 6-days antibiotic treatment, but i still have sore throat...

i am non-smoker and rarely drink..

so i duno what's wrong with my persistent sore throat, help..
