i have found youre post very depressing! i have had pneumonia for 4 weeks and am thinking this is too long let alone had it for 4 months!!
right basal pneumonia just means its on the right side at the bottom of youre lung it doesnt really tell you what type - ie really you need to have some kind of culture and sensitivity done on the mucous you cough up to a)find out what bug is causing the infection and b)what antibiotics is best to treat it with - also you have been ill a really long time - why is it not improving - ie do you have other health issues have youre dr's investigated this??
i think the tiredness goes hand in hand with pneumonia and any long term infection, however some types of pneumonia can cause anaemia (low amount of red blood cells) so this may also need to be checked out.
I have terrible pain in my lungs every time i breathe or god forbid cough - i think it can be due to the actual infection the pneumonia causes or sometimes inflammation of the linings of the lungs. as far as i know there are no specific excercises to do but steam inhalation helps - ie lots of hot showers\ baths, also drinking lots and resting (as if you have any other choice!!).
I hope you feel better soon!
PS just read youre post again - you do say things are resolving so ignore that bit of my post!!
