Hello and hope you are doing well.
Certain infections like tuberculosis can cause constant coughing and an evening rise of temperature and increased sweating. This also causes a loss of appetite; as such this is accompanied by weight loss. So, record his temperatures, on a two hourly basis to detect an evening rise of temperature. X rays and blood tests help to diagnose this. Please check with your doctor to rule out this condition.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
My son and I have been to specialists and got nose swabs blood work and chest x-rays done. Nothing has been suggested. We have taken meds and puffers nothing is working. I have been coughing then leads to vomiting either flem or froth, and gasping for a minute or so out load to replace hair in my lungs. It is the most horrible thing... I get headaches and feel very tired. But told that we are to just relax and takes time :( Well to take time it's been over a month that we have been so sick!!!
I will keep you posted on our condition!
Thank you

Hello and hope you are doing well.
Bronchitis can cause bronchospasm and repeated coughing, more so in the night. For therapy bronchodilators are given as syrups or inhalers.
The inhaler may cause dilatation of the airways, relieve bronchospasm and hence may be causing cough. This is important as it helps to bring out the secretions thus clearing the obstruction and the infection
On initiating therapy with this, the cough symptoms are likely to increase in an effort to bring out the secretions. Repeated steam inhalations can help loosen up and bring out the secretions, though this should be done prior to meals.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
