MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
This problem could be a functional disorder of the vocal cords or an abnormality of the tissue of the cords and/or surrounding structures.  Your lack of other symptoms strongly suggests that this is a disorder of the larynx, rather than a disease of the lungs.  In either case, you need to know what the problem is.  I strongly recommend a consultation with an ENT specialist who has a special interest in voice disorders and works closely with a Speech Therapist.  Many professional performers, such as actors, singers, politicians, are under the care of this type of specialist.  You might begin by determining if your local opera singers or large choral groups have a preference for such a doctor in your area.  Another option is to call LUNG LINE

Have you seen a very good ENT (Ear, nose & throat doc), yet, who is a VOICE SPECIALIST?

Also, a very good SLP (Speech & Language Pathologist) can often diagnose many kinds of voice problems, too.

You can email me privately, and I would be glad to tell you if I know of any voice specialist ENT's &/or SLP's in your area. Email me at ***@****

Good luck to you.

Sincerely, Concerned lady
