wierd symptoms - HELP

I have VERY bizarre symptoms, and my physician has no idea what the problem is:  when I breathe through my nose, I get dizzy and feel like I'm not getting enough oxygen after 3-4 breaths.  My nasal passages are not blocked - I get air in, but it doesn't feel like I'm being oxygenated.  This is relieved by yawning.  If I breathe through my mouth (which I know is not as healthy) I don't have these symptoms.  If I breathe through my nose and the symptoms occur (which they always do) and I DON'T yawn, I get to the point where I feel like I'm going to pass out.  What is this???  It's been going on for months and months!

You say your nose is not blocked, but what you describe suggests that it is, at least to the extent that you are not able to get enough air through your nose to satisfy your lungs and the needs of your body.  You should consider being examined by an ENT specialist.  The blockage could be way back, in or near your throat and could be missed by just looking in the front of your nose.

I think you get a bit claustaphobic when you are breathing through your nose since there is less oxygen than through your mouth.  you may then get a bit of a panic attack which makes it even harder to breath.  Just a thought!
