Did I catch something ?

Dear Sir,

I met a girl in a bar a few weeks ago.
We actively kissed and had a protected intercourse but I might have done a big mistake as we also had oral.
Since the condom had been used and we had no other left she gave me a fellatio for less than a minute.

Of course, the next day I thought about the potential risk from the oral episode but it seems quite low.
Can you confirm ?
I freaked so much that I went to to get tested for HIV at a 4 weeks mark.
The lab physician told me their testing method was very sensitive and specific, he told me the test was a double (duo?) test to be more accurate. I got the negative result the same day.

On the other hand, I have had no symptoms but I have like a deep cherry coloured half crown on the penile head, to be accurate, on the base of the penis. This mainly appears after sex but does not seem to dissapear totally even after a few hours. There is no itching, nor is it swollen but remains slightly more coloured in the next hours. To be frank it does not look too much normal to me. Here are some pics, if you look closely you might see what I mean although it looks less coloured on the pics.

What can this be according to you ?

Awaiting your feedback,

Thanks.

Not at all. If it was herpes, it would be quite painful and sore.
All the best,

Hola Doctor Gonzalez,

Thanks very much for the reply.
I know the pictures are from poor quality sorry for that.
Thanks as well for the cream advice.

From what you can see on the pics, this does not look like Herpes right ?
I am now at six weeks after the exposure and have not had any symptoms like discharge etc ...

Tks.

Hello,
First of al your encounter has not involve any risk of HIV infection whatsoever.  This is anyway confirmed with the negative HIV test that you had at 26 days, which can really be considered conclusive as there is not any significant statistical difference between 26 and 28 days for this test.
What I can see from the pictures is mainly just balanitis, which is usually caused by a fungal infection and might clear with a simple cream like Canesten.
Best wishes,
Dr Jose Gonzalez-garcia

One more detail to be accurate : the HIV testing took place 26 days after the exposure (short of 2 days to be at 4 full weeks).
