Tested for syphilis 30 after exposure with the Igg/igm test are results conclusive?

On December 17th I had unprotected oral sex on January 18th I was tested for Herpes, Syphilis using the IGM/IGG test and all results came back negative. Should I be rested? It’s almost been 70 days since exposure.

Did you get a different kind of test for syphilis? It should say RPR or VDRL, or FTA-ABS, but not IgG.

I also wouldn't worry about either that much, but if you feel the need to test, make sure it's the correct tests. https://www.webmd.com/sexual-conditions/syphilis-diagnosis

And yes, the IgM is unreliable for herpes.

90% of people that are positive for syphilis will show antibodies at 3weeks I would believe your test and move on
I would worry about herpes. And if all you had was oral there was little risk and no need to test

What are the reasons that the other 10% of people the test doesn’t show conclusive results at 3 weeks? Also is waiting the extra week a good thing does it make the test more reliable?
It’s because they haven’t built antibodies for it everyone develops those at different rate but the vast majority will develop before 3weeks . I’m not totally sure on how accurate the test is as far as percentages but it’s pretty accurate if you wait the recomended time. If you are going to test I would research the type of test your taking and make sure that you give enough time so that it is conclusive
I got tested at 32 days hoping that the antibodies would be present with the extra 11 days.
The chances of you getting shyphilis from your encounter are extremely low the chances that you are also one of the 10% that Secrocoverts later is low so the odds are all on your side
