Azithromycin?

I was diagnosed with Chlamydia about a week ago.  They gave me Azithromycin, 4 tablets at 250mg to take all at once.  I took them and have severe stomach cramping and nausea, and ended up getting sick about 45 to an hour after taking the last pill... hoping that I would have already digested it before I got sick.  The stomach pain lasted the rest of the day.  It's been about 3 days now since I have taken it, but I still have that "burning" sensation after I urinate.  How long does it take the medication to fight off the bacteria?  Is it possible I still have it and it didn't work?  How long does it take for symptoms to subside?

Well, I noticed my discharge is mostly clear now and more of a sticky consistency, instead of watery.  Maybe I am just being paranoid and it has worked more than I thought it has.  The only reason why I don't really trust going back in and getting re-tested is because it still shows up negative sometimes.  I've had this for over a year and was mis-diagnosed and they told me I just had Bacterial Vaginosis... and the test came up negative that entire time until recently.  I just still feel like some of the symptoms are still there and I am worried the antibiotic may not have fully worked it's "magic".

You should have absorbed the dose in that time. Chlamydia symptoms may persist for days until the inflammatory reaction subsides. You may need a test for cure in 30 days. Be sure to use condoms until then.
