Burning and itchy sensation on inner thigh.

Exactly 1 week ago, I made a poor decision to have sex with a prostitute in Amsterdam (PROTECTED with a Condom) but I was unaware that stds could be transmitted by skin to skin contact. I have been extremely anxious, worrying about this 24/7. I was feeling very weak and feverish immediately after the exposure, some of which could be attributed to traveling, and had no other symptoms… I returned to the USA 5 days ago, still feeling very weak and feverish after being in europe for 30 days… I went to the doctor yesterday, describing my weakness and testicle soreness. He said I was fine and experiencing general traveling stress, along with std anxiety…

Today, while sitting at work, I began to feel a cool burning on my inner thighs. I inspected, and there are still no signs of any redness or sores of any type. A similar burning was felt on the underside of my penile shaft, feels like its at the "Raphe". Both of these seem to be intermittent, and come and go at times. I took off all my clothes if incase it was the rubbing that was bothering, but I noticed that the effects were still there regardless. I am very worried that these are herpes symptoms, as this was the first sexual experience of my life.

Does that sound like a symptom of herpes? or if not what type of std? How much of this can be mental/anxiety based? I am not in pain, and have no visible sores, but I feel the intermittent discomfort that I described. I also did a lot of walking in my 30 days in europe, is it possible the skin is just irritated by the sweat?

Thank you so much.

Hi protected sex is only a risk for herpes and syphilis and low risk at that, I dont think your symptoms are related to herpes as more often are a cluster type blister with clear fluid but if your concerned do get tested esp if you have a long term partner.

Thank you for your opinion. After 1 week, theres no sign of sores at all, I'm keeping a close watch. Luckily I do not have a partner or gf at the moment, or my anxiety would be even worse. I have been reading that it is possible to have hsv2 without the blisters which is why I'm so paranoid, but the internet can pretty much say anything.
