Can NGU/NSU take some time to improve after treatment ?

Hello. I have been treated with Azithromycin ( 1 dose ) for NGU ( non-infectious ) - about 10 days ago. But I still experience  discomfort in my genitals and some soreness at tip of Penis. It is possible that these symptoms will take a considerable time to improve ?  I may have had a problem for 3-4 months before symptoms flared up and I was treated at the GUM clinic where I received a SWAB test. Thank you.

Thanks ( I am waiting on a Urine test result ) - But if it is Non-Infectious ( my Doctor thinks I've been over zealous with cleaning ) can any damage take time to calm down - even after Anti-biotics ?

Hi, sometimes youll need a follow up for NGU as all this means is its not Gonoreha. So they dont know what it is. Bacterias common for the mouth are not common inside the urethra.
