Can herpes be contracted through genital contact

Hello, last year I had experienced sexual contact against my will. During the attempted assault, the perpetrator tried to penetrate me to no avail. No penetration occurred, but genitals did make contact. Due to the person's social standing, I was too afraid to go forward or even go to the clinic. Other than that instance (both prior to and after), I have had no other sexual contact. Could I have contracted an STD/STI. As of late, I have been concerned that maybe I contracted something. Am I overreacting? The person's penile head touched my vagina, and saliva from his fingers also made contact (as he was trying to lubricate to force his way in). Thankfully, he was unsuccessful. I also immediately washed with soap after the occurrence.  Lately, I have had a bit of a rash, (No pus, sores or anything, just a slight itchy rash and thick white/beige discharge) and I think it's a yeast infection but that I'm severally overreacting.

Also, since I have never had sexual intercourse would the Std testing consist of a pelvic exam or urine/blood test? I have never masturbated or penetrated myself. It's very uncomfortable and hurts, so I hope that I could avoid a pelvic exam that requires a speculum, (Shudders)

also I don’t think testing is needed, but if you wanted to do it  it can be done by blood draw and urine sample

Hello, I’m sorry that this happened to you. The acts that you describe are virtually no risk for any std

Hello thank you so much, I've been paranoid as of late and when I had yeast infection symptoms appear accompanied with irritation, I began to think it was herpes. I cried and didn't know what else to do. I think that maybe I may have to reach out for counseling because I've been engulfed and convinced I contracted something from the encounter. Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease, and I'll focus on taking care of my mental health and managing anxiety! Also thank you, if I decide to go through with testing to calm the paranoia, I can simply do bloodwork or urine without the pelvic exam!
