Can untreated late latent syphilis have a low titer of 1:2

Hello Experts,

Recently i was tested for syphilis and the RPR with titer and conf RFX came back as 1:2. I went for a hand massage recently and after that i freaked out and got tested. For the past 12 years i had sexual intercourse only with my girlfriend(now wife). We have a baby .She is pregnant again. She was tested negative for RPR. Now here is the thing. When i was young(some 15 years back) i was abused by a relative. He gave me a brief oral job. Could it be that i caught syphilis from him. I never had any symptoms ..could the RPR titer value be so low after 15 yrs of late latent syphilis.I am very worried.

Thanks

It doesnot matter, if it came positve then negative with the second specialized test then you dont have it but i would advise to have another syphilis test to put this behind you as to continue asking the same question over and over is not to get us anywhere.

But if i recall you had a negative one as a confirmation test. This is why its best to stick to the same post so we dont have to ask questions all over again as our time is limited.
