Clamydia antibiotics not working?

I had unprotected sex about a week b4 I started to be irritated and itchy around my vagina opening.  So the next day I went to have it checked up and the doc says she highly suspected gonorrhea or clamydia so she shot me w/ rocephin or something like that and also gave me 4 pills of anthromycin antibiotics.  2 days later she said i had clamydia and those antibiotics should take care of it.  However, it's been 6 days and my labia minora is still bright red. And in the mornings, it's really irratable... but not in the afternoons and nights.  Today is the 6th day and also the 1st day I felt my 1st painful urination.  Is there a possible chance those antibiotics are not working? Cuz it seems to be getting worse. I never felt this irratable b4. And if these antibiotics are working, how long does it take to cure clamydia completely? How long does it take to rid the irratations like itchiness and redness and painful urination.  Are there any tips to cure it faster, to speed it up a little bit? Anything I should avoid other than sex?
Also I heard of permanent damages after being infected w/ clamydia? What permanent things are they?

Hmm.  Is it possible that the antibiotics you took caused a yeast infection? That would explain the itchiness & the redness.  Why not you go back to the doctor & inquire.  The antibiotics definitely took care of the chlamydia but you should retest 3 - 4 months after treatment just to be absolutely sure you are ok.   ( VERY VERY RARELY the antibiotics can suppress the infection, so it always recommended you retest after a positive diagnosis.  But hardly the infection being suppressed is the case.
