Condom Shorts

Hi,

On this forum the following points are often asserted...

1) You can get herpes and HPV even when wearing a condom because the condom doesn't cover all of one's skin.
2) You can't get anything if you're wearing your underwear.

So surely the obvious idea is to make condoms that extend into an entire pair of shorts! Then safer sex would be essentialy just safe sex (unless there's a tear).

I suggested this idea to a UK condom manufacturer and they weren't interested.

Any thoughts?

>>I keep my boxers on about 90% of the time.

Did that include when you were actually having intercourse?

Thanks for the replies.

>> I think I'd feel offended if he wouldn't have sex with me without wearing part of a diving suit.

Why not? He'd be wearing the shorts for the same reason that he'd be wearing a condom and yet you'd not be offended by that?

Un-believable.    Its a good idea though.  I will laugh later, not on the idea but the mental picture.

Grace just FYI: in all my years of  my once promiscuous life, I keep my boxers on about 90% of the time.    I never got a wierd look or anything, I say, just keep them on.  If they asked me to take them off I would (you can see how many times that happend).

PS.  I am  Hereps & ucerlative STDs negative.

someone already beat you to these. they've been available from certain retailers for awhile. I would think  that they are hard to get in and out of and you would sweat a heck of a lot.  I've never seen one on a man in person but I would think that they are a might unsexy too as well as in general if I picked up a man at a party and brought him home, I think I'd feel offended if he wouldn't have sex with me without wearing part of a diving suit.

If you put the condom on when the clothing comes off, it reduces hpv risk by 90%.  we don't have the same indepth study with condoms and herpes as was done with that hpv and condoms study I quoted but the general results from prior studies show a 30% reduction in transmission for herpes.  if you know your partner and you've both been tested to know your status, you can take other precautions that work far better for herpes transmission reduction.   You can also get your gardasil shots too to help protect from hpv.

Yes others have argued that you don't always know your partner and this is a better way to protect you.  well most of us have managed to have plenty of sex with using condoms properly and haven't ended up with every std in the book. use a condom properly and it goes a long way. most folks just wait and put the condom on before actual penetration which allows for a lot of skin on skin contact in general.

this more of a journal not a post... but unless you or any man is going to want to put on ruber shorts with a dick insert it probably won't happen
