Curious

For at least the last year, possibly longer I have had this one bump on the shaft of my penis; it is right where my pubic hair stops at. I never gave it much thought until recently.Well, I decided to scratch it off one day. It rarely bled (like 30 seconds). Well, it appears to be growing back and this time it is more than one looks like. Could this be genital warts? I do not think so but I am curious.  I would think a wart would bleed more. I have been with the same person for years and she has been int he hospital a couple of times for child birth, and I am more than sure she was tested for stds and she never had anything. Any information is good is information, Thanks.

if it's something unremarkable, we don't bother pointing it out to patients if they don't ask.

is it likely you scraped off a wart and it came back already? no it is not.

unfortunately the best answer is to be seen again and point this out specifically to the provider you see. we'd totally be guessing as to what is going on.

Listen, when i had a prostate problem, i had a small red dot on my penis and the doctor saw it and mentioned something. If your doctors dont say anthing its time to get a second opinion for sure. These doctors have so many patients and so much income that they fail to see sometimes only to move on to the next patient. Be agressive when it comes to your body and dont taking "i think he saw" as an excuse.

I agree.  I went to the doc last week for a mild testicle ache and I am more than sure he could see the small bump but he did not say anything about it. This was before I started being concern with this.

Hi and welcome. When it comes to irregularites and concerns in the area, it would be good to have a doc check it out to make sure. Second guessing these things can lead to stress and unnecessary worry.
