Did my treatment work??

I tested postitive for Chlamydia and got treated right away. My boyfriend got treated right after me. Our nurse told us that we were "good to go" after my boyfriend took his medication. And we had sex four days later after treatment (three for my boyfriend). Could there be a chance we are reinfected. I noticed that some of the symptoms have gone away but I never noticed when I had the STI. Wanting to know so we can get treated right away again. But I'm getting retested soon.
Also, can the treatment give me a yeast infection?

You shouldn't have retaken your normal sexual life before testing negative after receiving your treatment against chlamydia.

Regarding the yeast infection, theoretically, antibiotics will attack all bacteria, including the good ones that live in the genital area. Eliminating those good microorganisms, fungi won't have competition and they will be able to develop in the area. It's what happens when people take antibiotics without any control or medical prescription. I am sure it's not your case. Also, products used for hygiene can lead to get yeast infections. Use always products with neutral pH, as an acidic pH won't be suitable for bacteria, and will reduce the quantity of good bacteria and will leave some room for fungi (which love acidic pH).

All the best.
