Didn't test for STDs after a potential exposure!

Hello guys/girls

I hope I am posting in the right forum. I had unprotected anal sex on 23/01/2014 and I was the receptive guy(am a BI male) from an anonymous encounter. I only tested for HIV after 3 months and it came back negative and Didn't test for other STDs (I regret not doing it). But at the same time I did not show any symptoms for gonorrhoea and chlamydia or syphillis. I am going in to test next week. My question is that is too late to cure the infection IF I test positive for them. I am not sexually active and that was my last encounter believe it or not. I am going to marry in 2 months and I want to make sure my past fun times don't affect my married life. Please respond asap.

regards

Hello there

Thanks for the reply. I don't have any symptoms and the reason I am going to test is because I am so paranoid that I have them. I was concerned because it has been a year since I had my last encounter. But it is good know that it can still be cured.

regards

hi, gonorrhoea and chlamydia both sometimes have symptoms and sometimes they dont. for example if you have a feeling you might have them you might feel pain during sex, itchiness and burning when you pee or possibly when you poo. you should not have sexsual contact with anyone until you have the results back if negative then your free if not then you will need to get medcine from the doctor (so it's not too late for you to be cured from it.). and inform your sexsual partner to get checked aswell. hope that helps!
