Does this sound like an sti? Or am I worrying?

So this is my story...
I'm not sure if this is my aniexty or something else.
I have a long term gf which probably makes this worse.
One night after a night out a got together with someone I've known years,we did not have sex just oral sex from her.
Before that there was some quite rough dry humping which did leave me quite sore.
The next night I had quite rough sex with my partner as we hadn't had sex in a while.
This was part without and with a condom.
Afterwards I noticed a very angry looking red rash (friction where I felt the pain from the dry humping) I washed my penis and used a baby wipe also.
The next day my penis started to peel,I used e45 cream then got some clitrizmole cream,I am not sure if I aggravated it using soap or not.
I'm using a fragrance free soap.
The skin has stopped peeling but now I'm feeling a tingling/burning sensation around me penis,it doesn't hurt just notice it's there.
I have been to the docs and he gave me some mild steroid cream which I've been using for 3 days now.
He says it's nothing to worry about but I still plan to get tested next week,as I've only had this sensation for a week or so.
It doesn't hurt when I pee and there is no discharge at all, just this weird tingling/burning sensation.
Can any symptoms come after only a few days or am I just being paranoid?
Any help or advise would be great!
Thanks

Hi Dave,
Again thanks for your help.
So I still have a tingling feeling under my foreskin,no discharge still and it doesn't hurt when I urinate.
No other symptoms, though my partner has said that she had thrush come up and has taken some canesten duo, which is helping.
Considering my symptoms came after a day or so after we had sex, could it be possible that there could have been a yeast build up from her that she didn't notice,as I've had no other symptoms does it seem right that I also have a fungal infection?
Sorry for another question to many websites are very confusing with come conflicting info on them.
Thanks again in advance

No std symptoms are a white puss penis discharge and burning while urinating or genital sores that develop about a week later.

Hi, her giving you oral sex is close to zero risk for any std. The main 2 would be gono and herpes but oral gono is rare and if she did not have any lip sores you can pretty much rule out herpes as well. But since you have a partner there is still a small risk that you would expose them to so test for herpes in 3 months and gono at the 7 day mark. Since oral syphilis is rare it would not be a great concern but test for that as well at the 6 week mark. ll this testing is for you partners protection.

Thanks for answering really appreciate it.
No lip sores of any kind and not a stranger either as I've known for years I know that counts for nothing but not as if it was a caw or anything.
I'm more thinking it's me over thinking and irritation using shower gel and scrubbing a little harder than I ought too.
As the symptoms came so quickly,no discharge or burning when I pee.
When I spoke with the doc he seemed unconcerned that it would be an std,the test would be for peace of mind and for the safety of my gf.
Comes down to me being an idiot to for getting myself into this situation.
So for you doesn't sound like an STI?
