painful penis

my boyfriend and i always use a condom when having sex. Recently, about a month ago, or two, he started saying his penis ached even during intercourse, so we'd stop. this is recurring and he thinks its because of the condom. we use latex condoms. what hurts is the tip and he feels the condom is too constricting, both at the base of the penis and the condom tip not having enough space to accommodate pressure from the ejaculation and he feels like some of it returns inside. does this make any sense and if it does, what could be the problem?

This doesn't sound like an std issue.  The only way to tell is for him to get tested. It wouldn't hurt for him to know his std status anyway.  Maybe you should go and get tested too so if it does come back as an std causing it, you can prove it wasn't from you (though I wouldn't have thought so anyway since you always used condoms with him.)

Do you think he is trying to come up with a way to ask you to stop using condoms?
