Gonorrhea Reinfection? Please Help!

Long story short, I contracted gonorrhea shortly before my long-term long-distance boyfriend and I got back together. I was tested and treated and we had unprotected sex 5 days after I received the 250 mg ceftriaxone shot in my hip. Everything was great and I went to get checked again a few days later and was tested negative. Now, approx 2 months later we have had sex multiple times. A few times 2 weeks ago, and again a week ago. I have felt that constant urge to urinate but I get frequent UTIs so I visited my doctor for a urinary test. My UTI test was negative. I do not have the bleeding or discharge that I had before when I contracted gonorrhea. I have no symptoms except the slight urge to urinate. Is it possible that I infected him after I got my shot and he reinfected me 2 weeks ago? Doc told me to just keep drinking water and check back if my symptoms persist. She also said that sex 5 days after the shot shouldn't have infected him but if not, what could it be?

Please help. I need piece of mind and want to make sure he is healthy and safe.
Thanks!

Your response made me feel a little better. I have scheduled to get retested just to make sure I am clean again. Thanks!

Unlikely that you infected him. Possible that this is not a STD or if it is it would be something from him.
