Got tested for Gonorrhea, is doxycycline working?

i recently got tested for gonorrhea and clamydia, haven't got test results back. I got the shot in my butt and received doxycycline to take 2 time daily for 7 days. Im currently on my 5th day of treatment. My urine still burns and my throat is hurting as well. My urine color had cleared up though, (from orange to yellow). I was just curious if my medication is working? Will it take a couple days longer for symptoms to go away

Hi the bacteria should be killed a few days after the shot and meds but if you had burning while urinating and a white puss discharge the inside of your urethra was damaged and has open wounds that need to heal and will take about a week to show the best impovement.

should i see a doctor if my burning continues after i finish the meds?

back pain is not a symptom and yes see your doc if it doesnot improve urine color could be from the antibiotics most likely

could it be kidney cancer? I don't smoke. I don't drink often. I drunk a bunch on july 28th. That was the only time i've drunk in the past 6 months
