HIV TEST AND OTHER STD'S

I have been tested for HIV 6 weeks after my at risk exposure. The test was negative.  How likely is it to get a positve if I was in this time period on the ELISA?
The reason i'm asking is because I have blood discharging from my penis during bowel movements. I am also ejaculating alot faster during sex.  I have tested for ghonnorea/chlamydia as well both were negative. Would any other STD's  cause this to happen?

No, I don't think this is related to sex, if they can't find anything on tests.

You really do need to follow up with your doctor if you are still having symptoms.

And check out this article - it might help - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronic_prostatitis/chronic_pelvic_pain_syndrome

After having all these std test, xrays, having scoped my uretha, finger test, with no positive results of bacteria or anything, Do you think that there are any other possible explanations due to sex? I'm really worried that this is a result of my stupid decision to have unprotected sex with a partner I barely even knew. Its been going on for over 6 weeks and its really starting to depress me now.  I havent heard of anyone else with these symptoms anywhere so that just makes matters worst.

The urologist first diagnosed me with prostatitis, for which I was prescribed a 4 weeks supply of doxycleine. I know that its supposed to take 6 weeks of antibiotics to clear up prostatitis, but I didnt see any results. Since then he has done all sorts of test....xrays, scoped my uretha, finger test, with no positive results. He says its just an odd symptom and not to worry, but I cant help it....i have been dealing with this for 6 weeks.  I have to go back in monday for an ultrasound of my prostate, hopefully they will find something out soon. Thanks for the input AJ.

Your HIV test is about 95% accurate at 6 weeks.

HIV wouldn't cause your symptoms, and you need to follow up with your doctor.  It sounds as if you might have prostatitis or a urinary tract infection - something along those lines.

6 weeks is to early for testing. You need to get tested at three months. I know it can seem like forever. But until you have a test that can be called definitive you will still worry. You need to look at what your risk was and see if you want to get a more expensive test that will be accurate at six weeks. Unless you know that you were exposed to HIV, that would be a waste of money and resources.
