Handjob Massage Risk

I just wanted to start by commending all the good work the contributers are doing on this site/forum.  I just had a question about a very bad experience that I have had (huge mistake) and apologize in advance, as it is the millionth question asked on the topic and may be long, however, I have to ask personally just for reassurance and advice.

I have been stressed at work for a while, so a friend of mine suggested a massage place, where he and a few other friends have gone.  I suspected it to be a dodgy place, but it was licensed as a 'body rub' massage place (outside toronto).  So, I thought, I need a massage to relax and it may be a bonus if the masseuse was topless/scantily dressed (silly me).  Being the ignorant idiot that I am, I ended up going and there seemed to be a lot of guys there (popular place I thought).  I ended up getting a massage (the stress impaired my good judgement).  It went okay, a bit awkward, as I only had a normal massage once previously and it is awkward getting touched while undressed.  Anyways, she then grabbed my pen*s and started wanking which was a shock as I didn't think it was allowed.  I asked her and she said that it was and in the meantime, in my nervousness, the job was done (ejaculated).  We never had any penetration/intercourse and no oral, although she had her nude body on me for a bit (but genitals never touched).  I took a shower right there and then and when I got home.  I tried to forget the incident, however, 6 days later I had a pain/tingling in head of penis and had to urinate frequently.  Went to the doctor, told him the story and he did dipstick urine test, which showed an infection and prescribed Macrobid.  Worried me as it was out of the ordinary.  The doctor thought that it was just a coincidence, as I did not have any penetration.  I thought that I may have soaped myself too much in my effort to cleanse myself and also used hand sanitizor, which may have irritated the urethra.  The burning/tingling persisted and 1 week later, I went back and he did a dipstick test which showed no infection.  However, I still felt the pain and had to frequently urinate.  A week after that, I had a urine culture done and a test for Chlamydia and Gonorhea (which still has to come in), however, the culture showed no infection.  I also had a blood test (white blood cells) done which came back normal.

But I was still feeling the burn slightly and frequent urination, plus pain in the neck, felt like all my glands in the neck and genitals were hurting/swollen, diarhea, senstive skin (to temperature), lots of acne on upper arms/shoulder (could be reaction to massage oil as my skin is sensitive), easily scratched/cut, big bruise/blotch where the blood was taken for the blood test, light headed and always feeling tired.  The doctor thought it was anxiety and to forget about it, which it could be to an extent, but I really do feel all those symptoms, especially the lethargy and stomach troubles which worry me (as they all seem to relate to ARS).  I am just so worried now.  I thought that the infection may be prostatitis, but the doc, said that it would show on the urine culture (which I have heard that it doesn't).  I will speak to him on it again.

So, I am pretty scared now, as this was just a silly mistake which I want to forget about, but all these symptoms just keep coming and scarying me!  I know that everyone says that there is no risk in handjobs (as I keep going through all the forums on a daily basis), but why did all this happen after that mistake?  Anyone that can help/advise, would really appreciate (teak, lizzie, nursegirl, vance etc.).  I can't concentrate on anything else nowadays!  Once again, apologize for the long thread.

Thank you Grace for taking the time to read my lengthy history on the event and for your response.  It does help me with my concern and anxiety.  I just keep telling myself that it wasn't a risk, but as I said, the symptoms just keep on coming and I keep thinking as though I will be the first to be infected in such a manner.  But I am sure that the syptoms are anxiety-driven, although, some of them came on before I even knew that they were a symptom!

I will speak to the doctor this week about the possibility of prostatitis, but am not sure that he will do an exam (he seemed to be reluctant to even check anything), in which case I will request for a specialist appointment with a urologist.  I am also due to get an ultrasound done on the prostate, not that it would show prostatitis though.

Thanks again Grace.  Really appreciate your words of advice and all the help that you provide others like me!  Keep up the fantastic work, that I know everyone appreciates!

you won't contract a std from a hand job. this was a no risk encounter for you.

you can get a chemical urethritis from the massage oils being rubbed into the urethra as well as from using hand sanitizer on your delicate genital skin.  not sure if macrobid is the best antibiotic for something like that but the signs of infection cleared up so something worked.

anxiety can cause a lot of the continuing symptoms you are having. make sure though that they check your prostate manually too.
