Help discharge

I am a 33 yo female I have had 2 sex partners in the last 2 months I started having a white discharge and treated it as a yeast infection due to the burning and discharge I tried monistat did not help used Gyne-lotrimin all symptoms went away only to come back with in a week my dr gave me Diflucan I am on day 3 of treatment still having the white coating in mt vagina never had the classic cheesey discharge just thick on the inside. My question is this if I had an STD would the symptoms go away then come back or is it just a yeast infection? There is no odor with the discharge and it is only white in color any insight would be great thanks I should also add I have had a hysterectomy 2 years ago.

women only correctly self diagnose vaginal yeast infections 1/3 of the time. really not worth self treating unless you have a history of yeast infections are good at knowing the symptoms of them.

You need to go and be seen monday and get a proper work up done. if you are still using otc yeast treatments, stop them now so that they are gone from your vagina so that your provider can get a good sample to look for other causes.  if you've had unprotected sex and haven't been tested recently for std's, discuss with your provider which ones you need screened for and when.

Yes it could be a STD like chlamydia and medication you took could have masked the symptoms. If the sex with those 2 people were protected then I would think this is yeast or BV. If unprotected then still think one of those as my top choices but chlamydia and Trich might also be a possibility.
