Herpes from a month ago?

Hi there,

I very stupidly had unprotected oral sex with someone whose history I did not know (not meaning to be defamitory only honest I believe they maybe a needle user). She performed oral sex on me for a couple of minutes then finished using her hands. Two days later i woke up with aching joints a sore throught (only the right tonsil) and fever, no congestion or coughing though. I have no sores and nothing out of the ordinary regarding my genitals. I was kindly assured on here that its unlike this is herpes however ive just remember i had a similar encounter with a girl who i have seen with the occasional cold sore. I hope im being paranoid im just freaking out a little. It just doesn't feel like flu because there are no respiratory symptons although im feel like im going to freeze to death.

Thank you for any replies.

Hi herpes doesnot show symptoms in 2 days but takes a week or so and to be honest, getting herpes from oral sex is extremely low risk as if she did have oral herpes its hsv1 and the genital area is more susceptable to hsv2.

Thank you again! you've really helped my state of mind. I'm amazed at how much anxiety this has loaded me with. Would you be able to tell me what to look out for as i think i've over read and there is so much conflicted information out there. For example is it possible to have the flu like symptons im having but no sores. And if I had the normal flu in its incubation period most likely during this sexual encouter are their any STDs im would be particularly prone to?
