How long after a Gonorrhea treatment do the symptoms disappear?

Hi how are you?
This is my first time asking a question. I will try to be give as much details as possible.
I am a male, I was infected with gonorrhea out of a soft sex encounter that had oral sex, no penetration and no ejaculation.
2 days later I started have burning sensation while urinating.
4 days after that I noticed that pus started coming out.
3 days after I went to the doctor who asked me to do tests and gave me antibiotics that I will name in a bit.
1 day after (total of +10days from infection I started the treatment with injection and 4pills at one shot)

The treatment the doctor gave me was:
- CEFTRIAXONE (500mg/2ml Injection in buttcheeks - x2 on two different days)
- SECNIDAZOLE (500mg Oral x4 @one shot after 1st Ceftriaxone injection)
- DOXYCYCLINE (200mg Oral after meals* 1/day taken after taking the injection of Ceftriaxone & Oral of Secnidazole on the next day forward... total of 8pills = 8days):

What I am wondering is:

- How effective is this treatment? because a friend of mine had different set of antibiotics for the same STD?

- How long does it take for all symptoms to disappear??? I just finished the treatment today and while the pus has disappeared days ago I still feel a little mild burn while urinating and also feel one of my balls. I am not sure if its normal and it would go away with time or if the treatment was ineffective?? when are the symptoms expected to clear completely?

I would appreciate a thorough answer.
Thank you a lot for all the help.

Your treatment is correct

It can take up to 2 weeks for all symptoms to go away, as you see things get better over time.
