How to reduce symptoms (odor) of Mycoplasma Genitalium?

Hey all!

I have been infected with mycoplasma genitalium for about 8 months now.
First I started noticing a wierd odor and my gyno treated me for bacterial vaginosis for some months.
Finally she sent me to an STD test and I was positive for mycoplasma genitalium.

First line of treatment was doxycycline (2 times 100 mg per day for 7 days). The symptoms didn't go away and after one month I tested positive again.

I now just finished azithromycin treatment (1 day 500 mg, then 4 days 250 mg). But the symptoms are still here, so I guess it didn't help.

I have no idea what to do next. I need to wait another month to get tested again (my doctor won't test me sooner since she says the resaults can be false because of antibiotics).

1. What line of treatment would you recommend to continue with?

2. The symptoms I have is terrible odor, that is spreading all around! It is difficult to have human contact and I am slowly losing my mind because of it. I didn't find any information about this symptom online. Is anyone experiencing similar symptoms or have any idea how to reduce it?
I have been drinking liquid chlorophile which helps me for a few days usually, but then it is back to as it was.

If anyone have any kind of advice, please help.
All the best.

You need moxifalaxin for 10 days will 99% work against mycoplasma. Talk to your doctor they kind of push back on this drug cause it can make you ill, but it is the recommended treatment for mycoplasma when doxy and Azyth fail

1) There are different classes of antibiotics which are effective with mycoplasm. Some include tetracycline, macrolide and fluoroquinolone. You need to check with your doctor about this to prevent antibiotic resistant bacteria from building up, ahixh is unlikely though.
2) First treat the bacteria. And i think what you are experiencing is mostly anxiety, which is very common in some patients.

Yes, I was thinking the smell was just psychological myself, but actually how I first noticed the symptoms, was the smell! Also, it is not just in my mind (as my doctor suggested), I had conformation from other people ...

If anyone has whatever advice on how to treat this, it would be helpful. Since one month wait to try new antibiotics seems like ages and who knows if they will help at all.
