I am really confused about STD by kissing

I was trying to find an authentic source about any STD by kissing. As far as I read forum here, there is no risk of any STD by kissing. Like this https://www.medhelp.org/posts/STDs/STD-from-Kissing/show/1519506

I was trying to find other sources in internet and found that Herpes, Hepatitis B, Syphilis, HSV (wats) can be transmitted by kissing, here is one link.

So I my bit confused. Is it like, STD can transmitted but the effect is very less or ignorable. Or Should I check regularly for STDs even if I keep my sexual relationship with many partners only in kissing level?
