I have an itchy rash on my pubic area, what could it be?

small, slightly raised red bumps, they go from top of pubic hair to half an inch above vulva, they itch a lot and can be painful, I have not had sex for 3 months, no unusual odor or discharge,

Hi, in the world of std,s topical skin issues could be herpes related but herpes most often appear as clear blisters and the area your mentioning is not common for an outbreak but the vaginal area more likely. You can have a swab test to see what there are but do appear as a jock itch type of irritation.
