How common is asymptotic gonorrea?

I’m a 51 year old man, married for 10 years. Recently I decided to explore my bi side and met a 60 year old man who’s wife recently died. He decided to try sex with men and told me he had given oral sex on penis and anus to 3 men in the past year. I met with him on 3/26 and received oral on my penis and anus and also gave him oral on his penis. We did this again on 4/16 and 5/4. I did not go down on him on 5/4 but other wise all 3 times were about the same. When he was performing on me there were times when he went back and forth from my penis to anus.
After the 3rd encounter we talked about what we’d been doing and he said he was only seeing 1 other guy who gives him oral. I trust him and was confident about the situation but then about 3 days after I got consumed by fear and guilt. I started reading about what I could catch from these activities and got really scared about possibly having an std and how the hell would I explain this to my wife? Start to feel a sensation in my urethra maybe a week after the last time but can’t say it’s a burning sensation. I’m attributing it to anxiety. I went to the drugstore and bought a clymidia/gonorrea test at 2 weeks but didn’t get the results yet.
I had sex with my wife on 4/16 and 5/4. I am really scared about that. I don’t really have any symptoms but I’ve heard some of these things are asymtomatic. How common is that? Any information and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for having this forum.

I think GR meant to say you received oral - not gonorrhea! Dont panic haha

Oral sex is pretty low risk for all STIs. Most healthcare professionals state that oral without symptoms does not usually warrant any testing. Statistically around 80% of males WILL show symptoms and like GR said, the bacteria live at the back of  the throat so he would have needed to have "deep throat" you for a good amount of time. Even then it is not a massively high risk of infection due to other physiological factors.

Personally I would try not to worry about it and remember aunti jessies quote... Guilt does not equal risk.

Thank you for responses, they helped me get through this until I got my results back which were negative! I was surprised at how fear can actually make you feel like something is wrong. From reading the other posts I see this happens a lot. Thanks again for your help!

Asymptomatic gonorrhea in males is pretty common. When someone does have symptoms, they normally show up in 2 to 5 days or up to 30. With females, symptoms usually develop within 10 days. However, you received oral.  He'd have had a throat infection of gonorrhea to give that to you.  When people talk about getting gonorrhea from oral, it is normally talking about someone GIVING it verses receiving it.
